head/cam swap

I'll be upgrading to Patriot ported 243 heads(assembled) and f13 cam soon. What else will I need to complete the install? I know I need new head gaskets, but what about head bolts and other gaskets and seals etc, etc, etc....? Don't assembled heads come with all necessary head bolts, seals, and gaskets? Thanks.

Re: head/cam swap

as far as i know...no heads come with bolts and gaskets...

hit up thunder racing...they have a heads/cam swap kit...all you'll need.

i suggest ARP bolts...they are not the TTY bolts that OEM are.

and ...there is a 5 line limit on signatures...shorten it up boss

Well the rules do state 5 lines only for your sig. You'll just have to abreviate.

I went with ARP studs and I love them. When it comes time to R&R heads it's ten times easier. You never ever have to clean out the bolt holes again, never have to replace them, never take a chance on one of the holes threads getting boogered up and there's no worries of the gasket getting knocked out of place or sitting the heads on the dowels right.
Are they pricey? Yep but worth it? Yep. IMHO

Your a moderator, so coming from you, I'll take your word for it. Please show me where it states 5 lines only though. I've searched the site and can't find that rule anywhere.

Re: head/cam swap

I got a speeding ticket that way once. Saying "i'll take your word for it" I was 16, my first ticket. He flashed his lights at me and pulled up next to my car. I was NOT SPEEDING, but my exhaust was crazy loud for a 3.4L. The *** told me i was speeding, i said "well officer I didnt see my speed go over 30 but i'll take your word for it." He then gave me a lecture about what a smart *** i was and told me to pull my car over and proceeded with the ticket..

So dont be a smartass maro!!! lol

How about not being a smartass and not question us when we tell you to do something?

I don't mean to be rude and I'm not doubting its existance, but just for the reference I was also curious as to where to find that rule... I mean, it is just curiosity and he seemed perfectly willing to change it so what was the big deal?

well i guess it wouldnt be legal because the "quoted" being one line and the actual quote as aother line, multiplied by five.. but it was an idea..

Re: head/cam swap

You mods need to chill. He already is being obedient and is politely asking for you to tell him where the rule is. Now what the hell is wrong with that? Mods, you make yourselves look retarded when you talk down to people like this... sigh
