Got a question for you guys?
Hey I am having and argument with this ricer about how much 345 package LS1 cars dyno, the 01+ ones. I keep telling him that alot of them end up putting out 325RWHP+, he says no that it never happens, I tell him I have seen it MANY times, he won't qiut bothering me about it, it is very lame, could you guys please confirm for me that some of the full SLP option cars, and even some Z-28's, and base SS cars can and do dyno over 320 RWHP and in some cases over 330!! Thank you guys.
320 rwhp is very steep. The SLP options SS that comes with the aftermarket exhuast and lid might get 320 on a somewhat regular basis. However w/o the SLP options a 320 rwhp stock Z28 or SS is a very rare factory auto freak. It is possible but happens very seldom. Generally I would say about 290-310 rwhp for an LS1. Only the 01-02 cars get over 300+ consistently b/c of the LS6 components.
I did 332 hp, and 335 tq with the mods in the sig, and I only have a puny 00'!!

The 01-02 cars benefit from the LS6 intake and the truck cam. Hp numbers are usually about the same maybe 3-5 higher, but the tq dept. is where they really shine. It's not uncommon at all for any 99-newer LS1 to dyno around 315 or so, be it a base model Z or fully SLP optioned SS. The reason I didn't include 98's is for some reason, they do dyno a lil lower than 99-newer. There are so many variables on a dyno, that there's no way to compare numbers from one car to another.

Ive never heard of a stock LS1 dyno lower than 300, if it does than there is a problem with the car, and maybe the engine just needs to get broken in alot more. also if your clutch was really really bad that could lower it a bit.

It is completely stock.. 13000 miles. Nothing done to the car that can be called a mod. (Oil is all I have changed).
When I do the mods they are just for the dyno session. parts are installed and the pulls made. Then I remove the parts and go back to completely stock.
Last weeks dyno runs were made in cooler but more humid weather (started raining as I pulled away from the shop).

I doubt that high with a stock car.....Maybe a mod or 2 and you will see that with an M6....
Anyway why are you arguing with this kid anyway, just put him in your rear view mirror and shut him up......Dyno #'s are for talk only.....prove to him the power of the LS1.....
Remember, its not how you stand by your car, its how you race it
I had to throw that last line in.
