hey i got slp dual/ dual on my SS and its just too quite if i have a muffler shop cut out the muffler and put a pipe in place how would that sound, or shoudl i put a high flow mufffler and then get a cutout. anyone have sound clips ? thanks

 

where in IL are you? We're having a hooters night in lombard saturday night (see midwest forum.) Id like to hear the slp exhaust!

and greg my buddy has that exhaust in the basement but he is putting it back on as the loudmouth is too loud and annoying....

How about you get headers and it will sound good.....I have loud mouth now and im putting duel duel back on...I hope it sounds good with SLP headers! maybe ill gut the cats if its not loud enough

I'll take a stab at your original question - how loud will it be if the muffler is replaced with a piece of straight pipe? I never tried it in a 4th gen car but my 72 with dual exhaust was driven home with only one muffler. The right bank was straight pipe exiting to the rear. It was soo loud that I was certain that the first cop that I went by would do a u turn and pull me over, it is soo loud that it sets of the factory alarm of my wife's 99 Grand Prix, it is soo loud that you will wonder if the radio works.

Get a cutout and save your hearing.

Hey me and a few freinds mite come out saturday not sure yet? What time u thinking of meeting at hooters?
For the exhaust took it to the muffler shop made me a custom pipe for the back and now i have no muffler and it sounds ****ing bad ***.
