GMMG and CORSA

not saying I dont like it, I do.
It does rasp some part throttle but, more importantly I
get the wrong kind of attention, police.
Up here in the suburb's of chicago they suck.
I am not gonna' put the cats back on .
But I am goin to add some CC inserts into each ORP after the collector.
I have not heard them on a set-up like mine but I think it will help.
I'll post results, cause plan on installing them & going to track, to compair times before/after

Now for those of you that own GMMG would you say that its a bit loud from the inside? My car is an everyday driver and I dont want to get sick of the noise from the inside but I do want my baby to sound as close to the Bergers, THs, and Intimidators as possible.
i just got my GMMG exhaust and it sounds AWESOME. you won't be disappointed with it if you get it. i have never heard the Corsa in person, but i've heard clips from their website and it doesn't sound nearly as good as the GMMG. The interior noise can get loud when the RPMs are high, but at idle it has a pretty quiet rumble to it inside the cabin. If you have money to blow, get the GMMG. you'll love it

I have a few friends with Corsa on their LS1's, and they can't come close to touching my GMMG
Plus, GMMG is cheaper than Corsa

Then why are you even asking about Corsa? You want your car to sound like a Berger, then why would you consider anything but what the Berger's have? So...I'm not going to say anything positive about Corsa because I think only decision you need to make is when are you going to order your GMMG.
Headers: Nobody's mentioned it yet but you live in California so do you have some way around emissions? If not, you're choices for headers/Y-pipe are going to be very limited.

So if emissions are going to be a problem, which I didnt think about earlier, should I still run a GMMG exhaust w/o headers? do you think it will still sound pretty good?

Granted, they're definitely NOT longtubes, and, shorties are street legal, they have CARB numbers on them.
I also think MAC & Hooker sell street-legal shorties, as do Edelbrock--DON'T BUY EDELBROCK, too many negative comments regarding quality issues.

Yeah, I'd still go with the GMMG.
If I were you, I'd try to find some people in Cali. (preferably in your area) that can get around emissions and see if they can help you out. I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there running around with LTs and no cats.
If you find out that LTs are not an option, you could always go with the MAC mid-lengths w/ cats and cross your fingers that the emissions inspector doesn't know where the stock cat location is. The MACs aren't going to give you the gains that you'd get with LTs but they'll still make a noticeable difference.
If you don't want to risk it with the MACs then stick with the stock manifolds. Yes, you could buy shorties that are CARB approved but they're not much better than the manifolds. If you can find a used pair for $200 or less then ok but anything more is a waste of money for the little power that you'll pick up.
I am running Hooker LT's to a Hooker y-pipe (no cats) then into Corsa. It's mellow on the low revs but all hell breaks loose at the mid to high RPM's. You can hear the sounds on my web site.
I just got my QTP y-pipe with dual electric cut-outs, soon as I get it installed I'll post up some new vids.

How did you enter your cz28.com registration date as December 1969? I've seen a few others like that.
