Getting long tubes and true duals

Gonne go with the Flow Tech LT's, I really wanna get the full benefit of this cam and I think the only thing that is stopping me now is a full dyno tune and a set of LT's, and I don't wanna spend the money on the tune without having the LT's on their. So what I am thinking of doing is having some extensions made off the back of the LT and then my friend has 2 12in bullet mufflers he isn't using and making my true dual system without spending $500 on one from Lane's. What do you all think that will sounds like and do you think I'll see a gain in power? I get the bullets for free and I can sell the cat-back I have no, so this may not end up costing me very much!

they have a page of true dual setups, and they sound quite nice. i am thinking of the true duals over the y-pipe and cutout

I went from ypipe and cutout to what is listed in the sig. TOTALLY WORTH IT. I gained 14 rwhp WITH cats! Figure a few more rear wheel hp without cats. Also, there are specific directions for dyno tunes with headers that are coated. Follow the directions or it will flake off AND void the warranty!!

so you are happier with the true duals ?? are they louder than the cutout ?? i plan on just using a gutted cat over the pipes for the look of a cat.

confused

yeah, much louder than the cutout. Has that "real" musclecar sound. If you don't use cats, or just put gutted ones on, it will be louder than what I have, and a lot more raspy sounding.

they only made 95 purple metallic Z's? I thought there was more than that. Pretty special.

not necessarily, LT1's with LT's and True Duals without cats can be very raspy, especially with a cam. LS1's are less raspy, but not by a whole lot.

i think there are 84 trans ams made in that color and 75 were plain and 9 were ws6's. there were only 26 formulas made in that color too

I change my mind everyday, true duals or ypipe cutout.

i'll never make a decision, what a broad
