After I remove my ac from my 98 ls1 t/a will I need to do anything else to have the car run like a shorter belt or something? If I do, where can I buy the parts at?
Has anyone had any experience with Richmond gears? I want to get some Richmond 4.10's off of Summit but haven't heard from anyone about their quality and durability in an LS1.

Rick,
I am the one buying the AC from you. I currently do not have AC in the car. I will try and take some pics for you to show you how the set up is. I think I just have a pully that spins the belt.
Since I won't be needed it once I get your AC unit, maybe knock off $25 bucks from the AC and you can have it.
Again, I'm not completly sure, but I will take a look tomorrow and post pics asap.
hehe, I also have 4.10 gears in my car - not sure of the kind though, so I can't help you. Do you have an A4 or M6? ....either way you will have to program the spedo. I have an A4 with 4.10s and its a bit much. I was thinking of going with 3.73s when I get some more money.
Keep in touch.

hey Milo,
So the pulley you have on there where the AC was is like an underdrive pulley or something? Not the oem one?? Shorter belt aswell?
I have an M6, and I need atleast 4.30's honestly to match my big cam but I can't afford to go buy a nine inch like I want to just yet so 4.10's will be close enough in the ten bolt...unless it breaks
