Glad to see I'm right with you guys. I wasn't sure what to expect. I'll get about 200 normally, with a heavy foot every now and then. 230 is the best I've gotten, but I've only had the car for a month.

With my IROC, it was about 200. 220 if I drive like a grandma and 190 if I got on it more than twice.

Mileage in New Orleans

Boy that's right, roads & streets are awful in NOLA, worse than Manhattan. I was visiting my sister there a few years ago, drove the Formula. I was lucky to have a car at all after that. Mileage is secondary to simple survival down there.

Well, with mixed city/highway driving (lots of racing in the city) I average 18-19. Highway alone it's 24ish.

I get right at 20 mpg with a fairly heavy foot and a blend of city/highway driving. Best is 22, worst is 18.5. I love this car!

LT1 = 14.9 (pretty sure)

LS1 = 16.8 (definately sure)

I dunno about my MPG for city/highway but I'll usually get about 280-300 miles to a tank and I'd say about 75% of my driving is on the highway. I'm usually not very hard on the car but I'm not easy either.

I believe advertised capacity was 15.5 from '93-'98 and 16.5 from '99-'02.

Finally, someone who understands the plight of a F-Body in NOLA... I barely drive the SS here because of this... Its sad really, but when I goto to visit my girlfriend in Dallas, I drive everywhere just for the hell of it. She loves the T-tops...

I get anywhere between 17 if I'm doing stop and go and all the way up to 24 is my best. but that was during my cross country trip from Las Vegas to the East Coast. Throw it in 6th and cruise at 90mph

Stock 2002 M6

Best ever was 23mpg, all highway in 6th gear, no hard accel, no A/C 70mph.

In town 15 is great for me, but 13 is more like it. Definitely on the low end of the spectrum.

Talking

I am getting 25 mpg @ 75 - 90 on the Freeway. 18 - 21 in Town.. This is my speculation since I have owned my 02 z28 for about 1.5 weeks now!! I bought it the saturday before Thanks Giving, drove it through town since I was off work and averaged 20 in town. Then Drove it 50 miles down south and back 2 x the following monday after buying the car and it averaged 25 mpg.. Drove it to work 60 miles to work 1 way on Monday and tuesday.. I put over a 160 miles on it yesterday and used a 1/4 tank of gas!! Damn I love the mileage this car gets compared to my 94 GMC Sierra 1500 4.3 Vortec V6 A4, that was getting 16 in town and 18 mpg on the freeway. Hell this z28 gets better then my 68 Chev C10 LWB truck, both the z28 and 68 C10 runs 91 octane, but 68 C10 gets 6 mpg in town and 8 mpg on the freeway !!

I have 4.10s and around town I'll still get 16-20 mpg but she still sips it on the highway for long trips and I average about 29 mpg.

I think when I'm on the juice I get about 1 mpg. It flows some major fuel when on nitrous. Of course, it's not like I cruise around at WOT with the nitrous on either.
