Full Tune up

I have a 2000 Camaro SS M6 w/ 82,000 on it so I decided to finally go ahead and tune her up. So far I've got MSD 8.5mm plugs and NGK TR55 plugs, a Radiator coolant flush, Transmission flush, rear end fluid change.

Also went ahead and got a slp cold air pac and 160* stat to put in. already had full exhaust. What else would you recommend to tune her up and keep her running good.

sea foam?? never heard of it, what's it do. Oh yeah and I got my buddy that works at Jiffy Lube to hook me up with their fuel system cleaner and changed out my fuel filter. It was supposed to be like 90 bucks but he charged me like 30.

$90 ....hell even $30 for a fuel system "clean out"????

an $8 can of seafoam and a $4 fuel filter would have gotten you the same result.

Re: Full Tune up

if you dont want to research, Seafoam is in a small white metal can with a plastic screw top. It costs about $5.50 for a can.

You put it in your fuel tank to clean the fuel system, you put it in the oil to clean out the crankcase and help rings seal better, and you also put it in a vaccuum line (most use brake booster line) to suck it up in the combustion chamber while its running to de-carbonize the heads and pistons.

SEAFOAM IS MAGIC!

Re: Full Tune up

seafoam can also be used to put in your crank case to clean your engine and in a vacuum line to get into your cumbustion chamber so I would say yes.

Re: Full Tune up

there has been SOME negative feedback on seafoam. On some engines, its the dirt and grime and carbon holding them together. Seafoam has unclogged some old dirty engines in which the dirt was keeping the rings sealed, or carbon was keeping the bearings true. but an LS1 wont ever have that problem so seafoam on.
