Fuel Pump/Injector ?
Fuel Pump/Injector ?
I have an 02 Z28, and this month will finally get around to putting more goodies on
My question is this: What size fuel pump will I need for my setup, and are my stock injectors going to be enough? I'll be going with a 230/232 on a 112 cam and a small shot of gas
TIA

Re: Fuel Pump/Injector ?
My guess is your 28.8lb injectors will be big enough if you're going with a direct port or wet system, but you'll most likely need to upgrade the fuel delivery system. An in-line booster pump may be enough to get the job done seeing as though that is what comes with some supercharger applications. However, I would say the best route is to go with an in-tank pump. Just my $.02.
Re: Fuel Pump/Injector ?
A Walbro 255 in-tank pump would work well with that setup. If you plan on running a wet kit, the stock injectors will be OK. If you plan on running a dry kit, you'll need bigger injectors. 36-38 # injectors would work OK if you were running a 50-100 dry shot. Anything bigger than that with a dry kit, and I'd look at 40+ lb. injectors. You could get away with an inline booster pump, but I'd recommend upgrading your in-tank pump.
Re: Fuel Pump/Injector ?
I will be doing in tank, just didnt know what size. I had a blown 4.6 GT, but those cars are different haha. It will be an NX wet kit, no more than a 100 shot to begin with.
