fuel pressure regulator question

I am thinking about putting a fuel pressure regulator on my 2000 SS. The question is, I have heard that by leaning out these cars you can see a modest horsepower gain, I guess it could even be called decent for the money you will spend. First of all is this true? and Secondly, if it is the case, how much should I lean it out to acheive the best results? Thanks for the help.

Yes, your will gain some horsepower. No, there is no fuel return line but you can easily add one. There is no set amount you should lean your car out. You do it VERY slowly and monitor air/fuel ratios while doing it. You want to get it perfect, then add a tiny bit just incase. Good luck
