Front Seal Oil Leak-Bars Leak?

I have a very slow front seal oil leak. I was wondering if any stop leak products could slow it up more or stop it?

Any advice would help!

Thanks,

Bill

It's DEAD simple to change the timing cover AND crank seals on an LS1. Do it right, or just deal with it. I think a little external leak is a HORRIBLE reason to put something in your oil designed to plug holes... like the ones that keep your bearings and lifters lubricated.

just change the seal its easy and cheap. I never recommend putting anything into oil or coolant to seal leaks. Just leads to more problems down the road. Just my .02

Re: Front Seal Oil Leak-Bars Leak?

I used bar stops in my old pos dd chevy spectrum. Helped me limp a leaking heater core for 2 years. Found one for $20 in the yard ($200 dealer only). Swapped it and flushed a ton of that stuff out. Worked fine.

On the other hand, never in my f-bodies, and no oil additives....
