Thanks guys. How long should I wait to give the car time to break in before i begin to "play"? Also, what kind of gas do I use... I'm thinkin premium, not sure though. The days are going by so slow, 2 more days...

The dealer called earlier and I got the car today!!! This car is amazing. 310 horsepower... yeah right, try 350... I picked my friend up in it right when I got it and she has a Mustang (v6).

Her: So, is it fast
Me: Let's find out

So I floored it from 0 to 50 (didn't want a speeding ticket the first day)

Her: Holy F***, I think you just went 0 to 50 in 3 seconds

Later on I stopped at a WaWa to smoke a cig with my friend (had to get out of the car) Well, there was a bunch of people "hangin out" and I parked on the side... Well, they were all talkin about some hooked up minivan and how some kid painted his interior, then the girl walks around to my car and stands about 2 feet from it and said "WOW, This car..." One of the guys was like "What, it's just a car" lol

Give it till at least 500 miles before you romp on it. 1,000 if you can hold out that long. I know. It's very tempting. Mine was practically begging for it! It's SO hard to drive it slow. Especially at first. Do your best.

Use supreme. The dealership put regular in it for me on it's first refuel. They said only the Vettes are supposed to get Supreme. The manual says it will run on regular. And it will. But the PCM will retard the timing way back to keep it from pinging. Performance will suffer pretty bad. You will notice a difference.

And don't get upset about crappy gas mileage. It gets better after a while. I'm still along way from the rated fuel consumption estimates. But whatever. I have heavy feet. Last week I babied the car all week. I got 17 instead of 15.5 MPG in city driving. So screw it. I'm gonna drive it like it wants to be driven and not worry about it.
