i think the lid and ram air is better for z28 and trans ams

if you have a hood like the ultra Z or the WS6 ram air...the volant or knfp is a better choice.

probably...like 1 or 2 hp

i say that because the volant/KN exposes the filter to more direct air with those style hoods....

the lid the air still has to go in the "slot" and up through the filter and lid...

know what i mean?

although the ws6 lid is raised more then the camaro...

lid and some type of cold air or ram air setup is your best bet.

I would suggest a lid from TSP(texas speed and performance)
Thier customer service is outstanding and there was some tests done by GM High Tech w/ all of the lids and the TSP created the most horsepower. It is proven by thier dyno runs. Look for the May 2004 edition of GM high tech if you want to check out the dyno sheets for yourself. The Max HP for the stock lid was 321.3 and the TSP lid brought that up to 331.5. All the other lids tested lower than that. the lids tested were: Stock lid, G2, MTI, QMP, SLP, TSP, LS1, GMS(granatelli).

It's proven by the dyno, how can you argue? Not trying to start anything I just don't understand how you can argue that point. Look at the dyno sheets and look at the differences in the dyno results for each lid.

all the trap speeds are similar.how can you argue that?

i have the article right in front of me.theres no significant difference between the lids that were tested.

I've seen other magazines dyno the SLP lid the highest. Of course you can dispute a dyno, that's why everyone dynos more than once.

for the money of an FIPK, i'd rather get a Super Sucker Ram Air and a used lid for like $50-70....because you'll flow much more air....only drawback is that more dirt is flying to the filter and you need to watch it when it rains and not go too fast into a puddle of water.
