Exclamation Figured out noise

I think I figured out what this strange "chkt chkt chkt" sound coming from the rear of the engine was from... It's been happening on and off randomly.. and I now believe I know the answer. Low oil! ****, when I did the oil change 3500 miles ago, I didn't seem to be burning any.. now I'm down an assload.. probably a quart (estimating). Might be because I've been driving it harder recently.

Everyone go outside and check your oil.

That is all.

Change your PCV valve. When they stick it'll suck down a quart of oil in just a few miles.

It still shouldn't be burning any oil w/that kind of mileage. I'd start looking around for a cause. That's not normal.

Yeah.. something must have happened since the last oil change.. because I wasn't burning any, then.

I added some oil last night.. It took 1 1/2 quarts. So I was running on 4 quarts.. damn.

2001 cars are the most notorious for burning oil.

It's a ring issue.

Well, if you know anyone that wants to fix my ring issue without charging an arm/leg....let me know. I might as well have them throw in some Cadi lifters, better rod bolts, and check the pushrod length while they're in there.
