F14 cam and Dart 225 Heads question

With my current specs below, about what HP will i be around if I put Dart 225 head on with my F14 cam. I am currently putting down 403rwhp with just the cam. I dont want to spend $2000 for heads, plus install, if I wont get much. I dont plan on getting a fast intake soon either.

Also, I found the heads complete for around $1700 and I found a bare heads setup for $1100 on ebay.. Can I just get the bare setup on ebay since I already upgraded to patriot dual valve springs, and pushrods, timing chain and ls6 oil pump? Whats the difference in the two setups?

Thanks guys for any input...

If you buy the heads bare and you already have the correct springs, you will still need valves and a valve job.

You'll probably see around a 40rwhp increase.

So I should just spend the $500 and get the whole thing with springs and everything? Is there anything I need to replace while doing the heads as a "while I'm here i should replace this" measure? Thanks Marc 85z28 so far..

Yes, replace the lifters with new factory replacement (they are the LS7 lifters) ones. You have a big cam so I assume that you already have hardened pushrods. Make sure and check pushrod length and valvetrain geometry.

And if you can afford the extra $20 or so, get replacement lifter trays - LS2 style.

Personally I'd go with a set of 243 heads ported from AI, around the same money and those heads seem to run (~1,500 set up if you don't have 243 heads). Or save some more and cough up the dough for AFR210 or TFS215.

Check out Livernois Motorsports Stg II LS6 Heads. $1400.00 assemble and they will work great with your F14 cam.

Assembled heads are usually a bargain if they use decent parts. Dart's are usually ok. For $600 in this case you get valves, springs, spring cups, valve seals, shims, a valve job and the setup. You need to do the math for your situation and verify what parts are being used. BEWARE - some places will buy the heads bare and throw on the cheapest parts they can with a poor or non-existent VJ and sell them as if they were the factory assembled heads or even better (and sometimes I guess they could be). eBay seelers are notorious for this.
