Is exhaust popping or small backfires usual with headers and no cats? I get some pretty loud backfire / pops during deaceleration. Im running o2 sims and have all the emissions hooked up. Will a tune get rid of it? Sounds ugly heh.

 

a tune should get rid of it. I know stock manifolds and cats pop like a biatch, mine did when i got my dynomouth. But that's just air being sucked back into the exhaust.

Anyway yeah a tune should definetly fix it.

 

If it happens when you get off then back on the throttle, that's normal.

 

It normal, cats help reduce that sound.

 

and it seems flowmaster mufflers increase that sound... like freakin coffee cans behind your car...

 

its unburned fuel being burned in the exhaust.. its faily normal

 

no joke i test drove a M6 Z28 with flows.. damn holy **** when i downshifted sounded like a fire fight or somethin

 

i second that! when i purchased my ride the only mod was flowcraps and my god did it sound terrible!!!! it was one of my mods that i am glad i did!!!! getting those off opened my baby up and now she screams like a wild women!!!!!!!!

 

yeah, my flowcrap sounded AWESOME at 2500-3500 RPM acceleration (people always would ask if i took off my Z badges lol), but if i let off it would clank like a package of freakin black-cats were going off in my trunk!

 

I have the same problem with my dumped dual. It is really getting annoying.
