Which Exhaust(Cat-Back)
Hey just wondering which exhaust u guys think are made good and sounds the best, So i can get it for my future LS1. I was looking at the loudmouth but just wanna make sure it pases emissions. And also Has anyone had the Quad Exhaust kit with Loudmouth. I really like the way that looks. Any pics please post Thanks
I too plan to get the loudmouth for my soon to come LS1. I hear it sounds REAL nice. The cat-back has nothing to do with the emissions, just decibles. You are not putting out more pollutants, just making it easier for them to get out. Heads and cams, then you have to worry bout emissions....
quad exhaust tips
Hey,if you go with the T/A definitley go with the quad exhaust it looks really tight!! But if you get a camaro In my opinion Quads and camaro f-bodies don't mix itlooks funny without the inlets like the T/A's. Go to slponline I think they have pics, they do in the actual catalog at least!
If you would like to save some money, and get all the power and sound of the loud exhausts, do what I did. For about $60 I had a local muffler shop splice a short section of 3" pipe straight out of the 3" going into the muffler (utherwise known as a dump or cutout). This dump is located near the back of the car just before the exhaust enters the muffler. The sound is AWESOME. Once past the Y pipe, there is virtually 0 restriction in flow. It sounds beautiful and feels like I picked up a little "spunk" in performance. Heads turn like crazy. The best thing is that this was only a $60 mod to the STOCK exhaust. I would recomend trying this, see if you like it, if not, get a loudmouth. You can also put an electric buterfly or "electric cutout" to open and close the dump at the flip of a switch. Good luck in your search.
