I printed both pictures and went and compared. I don't have the dime sized bullseye, and have the dull casting. I can't read the number on the back of the block, seems like the LS6 block though.

What are the specific advantages of the LS6 block over the LS1?

It has a larger vent hole through the cylinders allowing the pressure to go to adjacent cylinders so your downstrokes are done with less resistance thus it should give you a smidgen more HP.. heheh

I have done the bullseye technique, but it was brought up in the last large LS6 block thread that it may be inaccurate to do so in that manner, so I wanted the hard evidence. hehe
No bullseyes on my car! hehehhe
Thanks JaysZ!

So you found the number? I just took another look. For anyone else who wants to look for the number- up and behind the driver's floor pan, above the cat, where the flywheel housing connects to the block. A bright light would help.

Soooo...have we decided that it was random? Like all the blocks were chosen by man/computer when it came time to put one together for a car and that if the LS6 block got put in it was just by chance? =)
