engine shake while decelerating?

i have just bought a 2002 z28 3 days ago and got a pretty smokin deal on it cuz the guy had to leave the country but the only problem i was noticing is that when i go any faster than about 60 and let off the gas the engine seems to shake and still does until it gets about under 50, doesnt do it when accelerate or go the same speed only slowing, just wondering what would cause that and how much it might cost thanks guys

worth checking your trans and torque arm mounts...both are cheap to replace

sounds like you have a binding u-joint. remove the shaft and see how easy it is to move them

check your u joints as posted, also do you seem to have good power? it is possible that your exhaust is backing up, for example in the cat and the gases can't pass. there may be a build up in pressure which can cause the car to shake. if it is the cat, just gut it but check the u joint first. its the easiest to do
