Angry Engine miss

Well it all started about 3 weeks ago. Was at the dragstrip trying in the cooler air for a 12 sec timeslip. Well I managed to get a 12.98 but at the same time I broke the rear end and a ticking noise started coming from the engine. Well last week I installed my new 12 bolt so the rear is fixed. The ticking noise was still there but it ran fine. So since the rpm limiter was raised I assumed the noise was probly a bent pushrod due to over-revving. So today I was supposed to get a set of stock pushrods to install until I had enough for a cam. But first a local shop was having a dyno day so I went there first. Car ran fine on the wayy there, ticking once warmed up. So I get a couple pulls, best being 305.6rwhp/323.0rwtq. Less than I expected, but the guy said new Z06 vett's only run 330rwhp so it didn't seem too bad. well when I go to leave the car seemed to be running rougher than before. As soon as I get on the highway the service engin soon light starts flashing. So I stop at the next exit and check for anything loose or missing. Nothing out of place so I start it up and the ticking is gone, but the miss is there. The miss is there at all rpm's too.

Any ideas on what would cause this?

Exclamation

This is an older post but i firgured i would reply because the same thing happened to me... I went to the strip ran it like 2 or 3 times... i start to hear a ticking i pop the hood check it out (i dont see anything wrong - i check bolts lid and other misc things by seeing if they are finger tight) (might i add my friend had a 2001 cobra which he S/C-he snapped a rod and that made a ticking noise; which made me think DAMN maybe i did the same) So you know i drive home (40 mins drive) nothing bad bearly hearing the ticking... (im now thinking maybe a small exaust leak) I keep driving my car and a week or two later i start to think and hear the noise getting louder so i think to myself (i have a warranty and if i bring it like this they will stop the noise with some 200 solution), so i beat the hell out of it and soon enough i am like MAN THIS ISNT WORKING... So i take it in... i get a call about 3 days later saying i snapped 3 rods and bent 2 others... WOW DID I **** IT UP!!! They then have the adjuster come in and check it out (they both knew the car had been drag raced- i bought the car used with 57k on it...) they then said void the warranty... well the guy was a nice guy and young and understanding told they guy i know they didnt drag this car (it so happened that my wife and i co-signed)... and he told "the adjuster" it was driven by her not me and that we have bought 6 cars from them before and never had a problem... So in the end after this long boring story I GET AN LS6... My luck... So see what you can do... Thanks for allowing me to reply a long and boring post... Thanks

Found out what it was just now. It was a rod, just not a connecting rod. The pushrod was bent and apparently when I wass on the last pull at the dyno it broke. Pulled the valve cover off and no pushrod on #4 intake. I was like WTF??? Stuck my flex magnet down the now egg-shaped pushrod hole and pulled out the two pieces. I hope the lifter will be ok. Looks fine but I guess I'll find out.

I'm going to just get a set of hardened pushrods. Exactly what I should have done awhile ago.
