My 5.3 engine cuts off sometimes when i come to a stop or sometimes when it is in gear sitting still with brakes on..any ideas?
No codes (faults) shown on scanner. New fuel & air filters. Should I check coil boxes or fuel pressure maybe? If so, how do I check coils and what should fuel pressure be?
Engine is a 5.3 Liter with auto transmission. 1999 K1500 Z71.

I have seen a lot of fuel pump failures on the newer trucks and SUV;s. If I remember right the pressure was 45+PSI on some systems and the CSFI popet style need to see 60PSI before the injector popets will open.

does it start back up with no problem? Ignotion module could also be something to think about espeicaly if you lose both spark and fuel when it dies
