Emissions stuff, how hard to remove?

I want to jerk all that emissions crap outta the TA, and I don't know where to start. Just the air pump, lines, hoses, ect. lol All that stuff that makes it look messy under the hood. I have seen them w/o it, and it looks so much better.

My question is, how many codes will it set, and will it actually hurt performance b/c of the code?

I heard they run much better w/o all that crap. I know my LT1 did anyway.

Are there and instructional pages on it anywhere?

Thanks!

AIR and EGR removal instructions

i researched this a little while ago, i seemed to get a 50/50 split as to whether the EGR removal would hinder performance. some guys said the ran without it and without reprogramming (just living with the SES) for months with no problems.

another guy said his performance slowly got worse and it started to burn oil or some crap like that.

From what I just learned in the past 30 minutes, from the person who will be dynoing my car after this removal (see link below) is that it should be tuned out when it is removed. I don't think it would necessarily hurt performance, but I do have a friend w/ a 00 SS, and w/o tuning she had very inconsistent dyno numbers before she had it all tuned out, after removal.

So, it is totally up to you. I am going to remove it all, and have it tuned out. Might as well do it right!
