Electric Cutout Switch.....does Fog Lihgt Switch Work?

I have a 1998 camaro ss m6. I am going to be putting a QTEC electric cutout on. I have a question about the switch. I have a blank switch opening next to fog light switch. I wanted to know if anyone has hooked the cutout to this switch. I heard that the switch wont work......any information on this let me know. I know you can get the ASR or the Traction control bezel but I really dont want to do that.....

personally, I bought a 'vert top switch and bezel and used it.

In theory, you could use ANY switch, but you would have to use some relays and some other stuff to reverse polarity depending on if you want to open/close it.

How much did you pay for the bezel and switch? All I need is a rocker switch right? Maybe I can find a small rocker switch . It has to be one with off in the middle right? Is this the right kind of switch...What does the switch look like that comes with the qtec kit? thanks for all the info

Yes, you need a rocker or "momentary" switch. You can see the QTP switch at www.quicktimeperformance.com/qtec_main.htm It's a lighted switch with clear/green/red lens.

If you decide to go with the vert switch/bezel here's the part numbers/price I paid at the dealer:

Convertible Switch - 010402721 $25.53
Bezel - 010411204 - $3.77
