E85
Re: E85
I wouldn't do it. It is primarily meant for FFVs (flexible fuel vehicles). Alcohols are very hard on certain rubber compounds that may be present in your fuel system. Here is a link relating to E85. It has a list of some vehicles that are OK for E85, the Z28 is not on the list.

If I remember correctly, gasohol (a ethanol gasoline blend~10% ethanol) was tried back in the late 70s and early 80s. A lot of people tried it, a lot of them regretted it. In ethanol concentrations greater than 10%, it deteriorated rubber seals, fuel pump diaphrams, and fuel hoses. Granted, technology was different then. Fuel systems are much different now. But I would still hold off until more info about long term usage is available.

Re: E85
ditto. its like when people on here go crazy adding more xylene and toulene (more forgiving) both in gas tho, and acetone (big no,no) as evil as the oil companies are, they do spend millions a year in research to outdo each other. but gasolhol wasnt ment for f-bodies. high octane fuel with methanol injection is a differant story due the proportions.
