Dyno #'s from today...

Decided to put the car on a dyno today to see what kind of #'s she would put down. Turns out I ended up being dissapointed in the #'s...especially after the great ET and Trap speed I ran the other night. I did find out today though that my car is running RICH AS HELL, and could definitely benefit from some tuning. What would cause this? Also, it was just over 80 degrees when the car was on the dyno...not too sure how much of an effect that would have on power, maybe 2 or 3 ponies I think.

Anyhow, the best of two dyno runs left me at:

322.3 hp
337.6 torque

I was hoping for some higher #'s. Turns out the car isn't as much of a freak as everybody was telling me it was. I still got the time slip to back my car up though.

try putting your stock MAF back in and see if that helps.

dynos done mean much unless your getting tuned anyway.ETs are what matters.

WTF!!!! Ur 4 tenths faster than me and I have more hp!!! I gotta get back to the track, but like he said, dyno numbers don't mean anything.

Yeah, I'm thinking of putting the stock MAF back on. I'm thinking that SLP MAF might be telling the engine that a bunch of air is coming in, but in reality my stock throttle body is restricting that air. I think that may be why the car could be running rich. I guess running rich is better than lean though. Gonna put it back on tomorrow and head to the track sometime soon to see if I can pull a 12.4 out of the ol' girl.

Sounds like you really know how to shift too. I put more weight on track times than dyno #'s, that is where it really matters. I ran the same as geeterman with 8 HP less! Good luck with the MAF, sounds like time for LS1 edit ;-)!
