My dad had a system like that on his vette, but he took it off because it wasn't grabbing the coolest air. It might be possible to create some kind of custom ducting to hook up a dual snorkel vette intake...but you have to consider the consequences. Granted it might look SSweet when all is said and done, you'll still be pulling warmer air into the intake. You'd be better off spending your money on a SSRA and getting cooler air from outside of the engine compartment. And if you're concerned about clearance or hydrolock, you can run just the top portion of the super sucker so it'll be just like the FTRA. When you hit the track/cruise spots, just hook up the lower half and have fun.

I believe so...most of the air that flows thru the engine bay on our cars is what comes out the back side of the radiator. In terms of over all flow, the dual snorkel might flow more than the lid. But, I believe the temperature of the air it's getting will still be roughly the same. You want air from outside of the engine bay. That's why I suggested the SSRA.

right now, you can get it @ http://www.lmperformance.com/1858/13.html

if you wanna wait a month or two, the price is supposed to drop to $199 from what i've heard on the board. there's a pic below incase you haven't seen it before. notice it's a two piece assembly where the bottom half runs under the bumper. if you are worried about scraping on curbs or water getting in, you can just run the upper half until you hit the track/cruise spots.
