Does this sound like good mod or no??

I was thinking of going with the hurst/billet shifter and the k&n FIPK for my first real mods. I dont really like the lids and I can get the fipk for only $50 more than a lid/filter combo. So does this sound good or should I go exaust first or even something else? If I were to go with headers I would go with the macs, and if I do go with headers should I get a cut out or a catback? Sorry for all the questions (I actually have a lot more) but I just got my tax refund and my cars fairly new so Im kinda excited.

Skip the B&M shifter and get the Pro 5.0 with a Lou's short stick. A much better shifter. I don't think that you will gain anything with the fipk over a lid and cutting your air box bottom, plus you can always add a Fast Toys ram air.

The FIPK is a good mod ... superior quality and proven power gains over a lid ... I personally got 22 rwhp ...

actualy i had the pro 5.0 and it sucks the big one...besides the fact that it rattles so loud i can hear my radio over it...it also comes loose everyday and once tottaly came off and i had to ripp the boot of while driving and switch gears....

with your 5.0 did u either adjust the stop bolts or take em out completely? Also, you have to put locktite on the bolts that connect the stick to the base.

so when it comes to type of shifter to everybody has there opinions, and it really just comes down to preference. But what I was really asking in the first place was about the order of the mods, I was wandering if I should get them in that order? And if I did go with the FIPK and the shifter, headers would have to wait til maybe mid summer or later. So thats why I want opinions on what to buy first. Thanks for your replys so far

u really cant go wrong no matter what u do.

my first mod was a n SLP lid...free, but later i might get the FIPK.
then i got a used hotchkis STB.
also got a slightly used B&M ripper for a great price. love it!

thats it so far.
next thing is some Sub frame connectors, and im thinkin of an electric cutout.

but like i said u cant go wrong.

Has anyone tried the hurst billet plus shifter? Is it any different than the normal hurst shifter? Everyone complains about the 2nd to 3rd shifting but the billet one says its adjustable, just curious.
