does anyone who has jethot longtubes an y pipe not have the y pipe hitting floor pan

i here some have problems with the y pipe hitting the bottom of the car, i dont wantthis to happen because it may cause false knock, how can i stop this? and i hear the car will run rich with longtubes, is there anyone i can send my pcm to to just get it adjusted for the headers that isnt insanely expensive, again sorry for being a pain, i just dont wanna buy something anymore like i did with my v6 w/o fully researching

no appology needed.

as for tuning...i think you're limited to places like www.pcmforless.com , madwolf, or tbyrne and the like.

don't know about the clearance probllem with longtubes (will know soon). but when i installed my bassani ORP on my manifolds the pipe hit the frame (brace under driver floorboard) when i would launch or when i would really punch it in 1st or 2nd gear....whenever the engine would really twist under torque.

i cured it by installing poly motor mounts...now the motor hardly moves when reved and the pipe doesn't come close to the frame.

i have pics of the spot on my webpage in the sig...page 2

I have LT's and a 3" y and my pipe hits the bottom of the car when ever I get on it, you can do polly motor mounts. Ive tried to get some kind of mount put on from an exhaust place but its gonna cost a lot because its so far from any place to put a flexing polly or rubber mount. But it can be done- its just a custom job

My Jet-Hot Y-pipe didn't hit the floor, but if I left it in gear during deceleration it would rub. When I sold it it had one little rub spot on it. You could always put radiator hose between the pipe and the frame. Cheesy but effective.

Mine also hit. I installed a Prothane motor mount on the drivers side to fix the problem.

I installed a Prothane motor mount on the drivers side at the same time that I was installing the headers and never had a hitting problem.
