Would you buy this car?

its a 98 Z28 6spd with leather, t-tops, flowmaster catback, aftermarket wheels, SS hood, etc. the car is flawless and is priced at $8995. now to me this seems like one hell of a steal, or it has problems that arent being mentioned. the car does have 90k on the clock which is kinda high i would say for a '98, but would that bring the price down that much? would any of you take a gamble and buy this car?

It definitely sounds like a steal, but has it had the crap dogged out of it? What kind of owner has it? It may have been ragged on all of those 90k miles. A good test drive, plus a conversation with the owner should clear that up.

Thumbs up

90K on a 6 year old car is not really too high. Averages 15K/year. And if it was registered already in late 97, it brings the average down even more.

Price is pretty much in line with the year and miles, IMO.

My only concerns would be the exhaust and aftermarket wheels. Doesn't necessarily mean it has been driven by somebody who beat the hell out of it all the time. The car would require a thorough check, though.

I would also check, on top of the usual sights, smells and sounds, possible signs of uninstalled mods.

Good luck!

I would not want to buy a car with high miles unless highway miles. The price seems to be pretty fair, but be sure to really check out the car so it is has not been riden hard.

Mine has 92,000 and runs great, but i bought it with 37,000 miles and it was thrashed by the previous owner. My transmission went out after 1 week. F-ing moron. Get to know the guy who is selling it, see how knowledgeable he is about cars before you decide. Steer clear if he says "muffler bearings" are something he has always wanted, but never had the money for.

Definately check for signs of mods.

But other than that it sounds good
