Does 98 ls1 a4's come with a trans cooler from the factory??

Sort of, yes. But it is only a small pipe about 14 inches long and thinner than your little finger. It's barly big enough to handle the stock torque convertor. If you are thinking about it, it is wiser to put a bigger one in. I did recently.
