do i really have to disconnect battery to change fuel filter?
do i really have to disconnect battery to change fuel filter?
is it recommended just for safety, so there's no chance of electrical current around the spilled gas?
i'd like to avoid having to reprogram my aftermarket stereo with all the custom settings.
i can't see any other reason this would be recommended other than safety considerations...
anyone done this filter change with battery connected?
thanks

I wouldn't. Otherwise, if you want to get that serious, maybe you should disconnect the battery every time you put gas in the car too?!
I don't think the risk is that big from leaving the battery connected.

nope, no need to. just have a rag handy and be ready for some back pressure if its that dirty. Another thing is after its in, turn the key but dont turn it on, and let the fuel pump go to work to fill itself up and get some pressure goign b4 u turn it on.
