does the 2000 z28 automatic 4 speed come with a dual cat system or single?

Dual.

96s and newer are dual-cat cars. Some 95s also had the dual cats, but most had the single.

It's a dual, and the 00 up have bolt in cats, and a different pass side exhaust manifold then previous years.
