DMS Springs review
DMS Springs review
I got in on the DMS Springs GP for an awesome price (181 shipped to my door in NC). I didn't have the tools to install them myself, so I took them to a local shop (who raped me
). However, after the install, the cost was definitely worth it.
First off, appearance wise, the car looks much more aggressive. THe springs lowered the car by approx. 1.5 inches up front and 1.25 inches in the rear. The 4x4 look of the stock height is gone now. Even with the POS SLP Y-pipe and BMR boxed subframes, I haven't had any clearance issues at all, even going over the huge *** trapezoidal speed bumps on campus with ease.
The car also hugs the roads more now -- the springs are stiffer than stock, but not so stiff as to give a bone-jarring ride, even with the subframes. The Y-pipe rattles a little more now, but that's because the SLP Y-pipe is POS. (Thank you Jet Hot, I can't wait to get those headers!
)
With nittos, I occasionally get some minor wheel hop from a stop, but it's fairly infrequent. I don't think LCA relocation is necessary, but it definitely wouldn't hurt.
Sorry if this is too long -- I"ll have pics posted up in a few days as soon as I gank my roommate's DC.
Eric and the people at DMS were incredibily helpful and courteous, and I would not hesitate to deal with them again. Thanks guys!
