Difference between LS1 and LT1

Hey guys I'm new here and was just wondering what's the difference between the LS1 and LT1? I know they are different engines and all but what are the advantages, disadvantages, etc. of each? Thanks.

Difference? The whole thing... Completely different blocks...

Not to bash the LT1 guys but STOCK FOR STOCK... the LS1 is just alltogether a better engine.

LT1's biggest flaw is the Opti Spark. Wet it and your driving days are abrubtly put to an end.

LS1's flaw I believe is the Piston Slap but thats not exactly too common I believe.

After owning each, I can't think of a single advantage the LT1 has over the LS1.

There's a sticky thread on top of the forum describing the LS1 motor that you should read to compare to the LT1. Also, you can search for older articles that introduce the LS1 as a new motor and describe what was upgraded (aluminum block, 15* heads, coil-per-cylinder, composite intake manifold, etc, etc, etc.)
