which of these heads will work better with a 224/581/112 cam? ive seen good #'s from both. but the #'s were with bigger cams. which would yall suggest?

 

Given the choice between "5.3 heads" or "pp stage 2 ls6 heads", I'd have to say the obvious one- LS6 heads. They get my vote.

With a 224 cam, you wouldn't need more than 5.3 or ported LS1 heads.

 

i assume you are asking if a set of ported 5.3L heads are better than ported LS6 heads.

you kindda make it sound like stock 5.3 compared with ported LS6....which would be obvious.

but with the mild cam, the 5.3s would be good. and i think the intake volume is smaller with the 5.3s which should help maintain good low end.

thanks guys. i just wasnt sure which is better of the 2. i heard guys going with these 2 heads more with a 224 cam than an afr. i plan on going afr 205 though. thanks alot.
