Didn't know a fuel filter could make so much difference.

i replace our fuel filters at least every spring and sometimes in the fall just before it gets cold out. we pretty much drive our cars year round. also, when you change the filter, you really should disconnect the battery along with opening the gas cap so fuel does not spray everywhere. i usually use an aluminum pan to catch the gas.

also, you can purge the existing fuel with the shrader valve on top of the engine's fuel rail.

I think because my car sat for about 7 hours since it was driven, nothing came out of my shrader valve, and it only took like 20-30 seconds for my lines to drain out.... compared to the 10 minsinstalluniversity said!

just replaced the fuel filter, I could barely squeel the tires (2.73's) before hand, I hit it and did a burned the tires down the block. Really helped me out though mine was pretty clogged.

There is nothing wrong w/ a Autozone, or AC Delco fuel filter.
They are going to do the same thing.

Just go to Autozone. PN is FF508

Hmmmm....haven't changed my fuel filter in about 20,000 miles or so...think its time to do so? Probably not a bad idea. Maybe i'll get some more ponies out of her.
