Dealership dilema

Dealership dilema
I recently got my oil pump o ring replaced at the dealership under warranty. Obviously they took off the oil pan and drained the oil. I have always used synthetic oil in my car but they put in regular. I have driven it about 50 miles since they changed the oil. I didnt think about what they put in until l had already driven it some ways. I know once you change to synthetic you cant go back. Do you think I could have done any damage to my car? Also since if came back from the dealer it has been making a strange noise upon acceleration. It almost sounds like a turbo spooling. Any ideas what it might be? Thanks

Re: Dealership dilema
the oild switch causes no problems. but if the car wasnt making any noise before taking it to the dealership i would bring it back to them cause they might have touched something.

Re: Dealership dilema
Yeah I know the oil switch wouldnt be making that noise but my old high school auto shop teacher always told me you can NEVER go back from synthetic or engine will be toast lol. Good to know he was wrong. Anyhow, the dealership here is run by idiots who do terrible work but its the only one we have. I guess I'll take it back to the them and ask them what the hell that noise it. I dont really want them touching my car again though lol.

So, let me get this right, from syn to regular is ok? Make sure you call them asap about the noise. You dont want then to say it was something you did, which they still will! Post update.

Re: Dealership dilema
Sorry, wasn't paying att to whom I was talking to. Are these the same idiots w/ the piston splapping? If so, they just did it w/ the o ring change, or when they did the pistons. Just keep that persons name handy just in case! P.S. throw her name around at the dealership w/ the general manager.
