Complete electrical shut down, even with cables.

Ok, as if things couldnt get any worse from my horrible weekend(my wife left me)(found a lipstick in my car that wasnt hers) Im driving home from work, and I notice that my guages are very dim, so I try to turn them up and notice that they are at full bright.
Then, my car starts missing, the only thing keeping it going is that im moving and I keep poping the clutch.

Well, this worked for a little while, then I get complete power failure, even poping the clutch does absolutly nothing.

A friend came and hooked up some cables to it, and still no power, at all even with the cables!?

So this is where I am at, this is a new one for me, does anyone have any ideas?
