Code P1416 on my car. I did a search, and the only hit comes up in the LT1 section.

Question Code P1416 on my car. I did a search, and the only hit comes up in the LT1 section.

Are the codes the same from a LT1 to a LS1 ?

That would make life too easy, IMHO.

I tried having Auto Zone pull the code - it is an emission related code, and that's as much as they can tell me. The part's guy was trying to sell me a gas cap as a guess, but even that is a PITA & I would prefer to diagnose, not parts swap.

It seems like there may be a sulphur smell, like a cat gone bad. I kinda hope so as that would still be under the federal 8/80 emmissions warranty.

If you have some ideas, I am all ears !

Dunno...I just did a search in the Computer Diag/Programming section for P1416. Glad it's an easy fix.
