Unhappy Clutch problem..Help!

Here is what happens ...anyone now the answer?

(sometimes) when I am stopped at a light , in gear with clutch pedal all the way down...it does not return all the way back and engages in gear much shorter

will stick about half way , I was able to pull it back with my foot one time...I looked for obstructions but can't find anything
is it something sticking? clutch going?

any ideas?

sounds like the typical 98-00 hydrolic (sp?) clutches. just get a new 01-02 master cylinder
