Clearance question...

Ok.. I am looking at getting a set of BMR SFC's sometime next month most likely. Trying to decide if I want boxed or tube.. I had decided on boxed but now I plan on get a set of lowering springs so I am unsure of if there will be any clearance issues. How much do the boxed SFC's hang down? Since I am going to do springs should I just get the tubular SFC's?

Thanks in advance..

My car is lowered and scrapes with the tubular sfc. If I had boxed I'd get high-centered.

Your SFC's scrape with tubular?? I didnt think they hung down like that? I would think your exhaust would scrape before tubulars would... then again that is why I am asking this question.. because I just dont know..

I have the boxed SFC's, and run stock height. They have never scraped yet. My headers on the other hand, I have to take it easy or they will scrape.

Steve's car is really low judging from his pics.
The car is also an LT1 and convertible, that may or may not play a role. I don't really know except that convertible connectors are different than coupe connectors.
BMR's published notes say the boxed connectors cause you to lose .75" total. That isn't much and you would have to be in the weeds for that to matter. They do however recommend their tubular connectors for cars that are unusually low.
