Re: catalytic con.

Thanks,I am going to buy a used set and gut them, and when i need to get a state inspection, I can put the stock ones back on.The off road pipe are a lot of money, and i see cats for sale as low as $30.00.Do you think this is a good or ok way to help with the exhaust flow? I am trying to keep the car stock and at the same time get the most out of it.Everything i have done so far, i can put it back to stock in 2hr.Thanks for your input. Cale

Re: catalytic con.

you know, 3 inch high flow cats from random technology will give you better performance, a very good sound, and their street legal and will allow you to pass smog. If you've never run a car with a gutted cat before, your in for a big surprise, you'll be high as a kite in five minutes from all the hydrocarbons building up in the cockpit, believe me i know, i run a gutted cat *currently saving up for full exhuast system* i only run it because the stock cat became clogged and the car couldnt run.

Seriously look into getting some high flow cats, their better in the long run.
