can't decide between two cams. HELP!

I'm going to get one of these two. They are both Comp. Cams..........228/230 @.050 571/573 lift 112LSA PT# 54-428-11 or this one....224/228 @.050 534/537 lift 112LSA PT# 54-418-11.......... Will the smaller cam have the lope that we all like? I figured you guys have heard about all the cams out there so what do you think. I have an M6 so I don't have to worry about a stall.

The 224/228 is a bit smaller cam, but will still have the lope you want.. although it wont be very crazy. The larger one(228/230) will be an EXCELLENT daily driver, while keeping lift under .6 and still haveing a nice lope along with great power under the curve. (read: nice torque all over, will pull nicely to 6300++)

Yeah, get the 228/230. Just make sure you have the bolt-ons to support a cam.

I don't really see anything too eye catching about the second cam. All you'd really get out of it except a wicked overlap and maybe 25 hp.....I'd do the second one, more lift...not insayne, but more lift and duration...

What other Valvetrain components are you looking at to install w/ it? Springs, Rods?

stock legnth are fine, as long as you dont start to mess with the rockers and such. Be sure to replace them though with some hardened rods.

Aren't the stock length Comp cams pushrods something like 7.4 or something like that?

yes stock is 7.400" You need to find out if the cam has the stock base circle. If it uses the stock base circle the stock length pushrods are what you need. If the cam has a smaller base circle the the pushrods need to make up the difference. Example: if the BC were .050 smaller than stock you might need 7.450 pushrods.
