Cam: what do yall think of this one??

Thunder Racing Custom "Reverse Split" Camshaft - 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA 2200-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars . Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

Specs of car in sig...how is this cam gonna be for daily driving/highway cruising?? How about idling? how much power gain can i expect to see?

I am not an LS1 owner, but LT1 owner. I bought a cam that said its powerband is from 1500-6000, on a 383 stroker. It runs weak below 1250, but once it gets above that point - it unleashes its fury. You can expect it to be pretty weak on the lower RPM's. I wouldn't advise getting that cam if you havent done any other kind of mods. Hope you have a set up that can carry out the power to 6800.

3.73 or 4.10 gears will complement that cam nicely.

With 4.10's you would see that your engine is running at a higher speed than before and will use more gas. If you have the M6, then I wouldnt worry about it too much. If you got the auto ( I dont know anything about the auto's since mine is M6) you might be near 3k rpm. It is advisable not to keep the engine constantly running for long periods of time above 3000 rpm.
