Cam too big for daily driver?

Im thinkin about buyin a 99 SS with 225/225 .595/.595 144lsa cam. I drove the car, and when coming out of first slowly, the engine almost wants to stall. It also has a real lumpy idle. Off idle the thing is a monster, but do you think that this is too much for a daily driven car?

should be no problem. i could use mine as a daily, but dont to keep it in emissions exemption. i still have stock tc, and 3.23 gears so gas isnt affected that much.

i drive a 233 cam every day...

because the cam increases power in the upper rpm, sometimes they are touchy in the lower area, hence the trouble pulling out.

you have to get use to it, and you'll adjust how you slip the clutch so you don't stall it

the TR 224 cam (similar to yours) is one of the most common daily driver cams around.

You'll just go through springs quicker also.

I wouldn't buy a car for a daily driver that was difficult to drive... I'd only get more and more annoyed as I drove it...

What kind of life expectancy should I count on for the springs? Will they just get weak and start floating valves, or could the possibly break and drop a valve in the cyl?
