my questions is at what size cam do you need to start custom tunning your car at? and how do you get a custom tune? Also can you go with any size cam with these new cars as long as you get a custom tune? and will they not set a ses light? I own a 01 camaro ss with a manual and was wanting to cam it but was woundering at what size do you need to start custom tunning it at?

 

Any cam swap needs a tune. The PCM can usually handle a 224 cam, but WOT will be lean and idle will be rough. Timing and AFR need to be adjusted in order for the car to run safe and good with a cam swap.

 

how difficult is it to tune these cars? Is it possible for a "do it my selfer" to handle it?
