Re: Cam installation question

yes unless you take the front of the car apart. may be another secret to it but easy to drop the motor.

Re: Cam installation question

I was told that if you have a lift you can drop the radiator and install it that way

Re: Cam installation question

no no no you don't have to. Just have to take off the waterpump and pully and timing cover off, you don't even need to remove the intake manifold. The radiator must come out and the AC radiator must either come out or be pulled up out of the way. I took mine out so I wouldn't break the lines, then I just filled with more AC stuff. Most guys just bend it up out of the way, but once all that is clear its very easy to put in. Make sure he uses a new bolt for the harmonic balancer pully. Re: Cam installation question

If it's not too late I'd take it someplace else that does work on LS1s. Only the radiator needs to come out. Move the AC condensor out of the way and it will slide out.

If it is too late - give him a copy from LS1 how to.....

Re: Cam installation question

You do not need to pull the engine at all. You have to remove the radiator and condensor of coarse. If you were close I would work on it. I only charge $400.00 to swap them out.
