hey tpis says that if i use there zl-11 camshaft i will need pcm mods. i see more radical camshafts used with out pcm mods. and one know if i can get awa with no computer mods for now? also what do you think of the gmpp hot cam?

 

Computer tuning is ALWAYS a good idea regardless of cam choice but from what I hear alot of guys run the hot cam without tuning and they are ok. IMO tuning is easy hp/tq. Why leave it behind?
Now some cams with big durations(224 and up IMO) need tuning to work their best since most peak a little to alot more than the factory redline and are so radical sometimes that the car will actually run slower without tuning and the proper gears.
Going back to your original question however, the Hotcam will usually be fine on an M6 without tuning and 3.42's. Now on an a4 I would drill a larger tb hole...just atap it to make sure....good luck.
