Gentlemen;
A few days ago I posted an answer to a fellow member about using the SLP speedometer recalibrater, in lieu of the HPP3, and was informed by a few posters here that the unit also adjusted the top speed limiter setting in the PCM.
I called SLP this morning, and spoke to their "Tech" department, and they patched me to a electrical engineer that was familiar with the unit, and his answer was "that the unit is only designed to change the incoming electronic signal to the PCM to correct the speedometer". He also added that the only way to change the TSL setting is to flash the PCM. If you install the unit incorrectley, he stated the unit will not work at all, and in no way can change any other setting other than the speedometer signal.
The purpose of this post IS NOT TO BE RIGHT OR WRONG, it is to correct any mis information that maybe out there concerning the recalibrater.
