Getting rid of your LT1 then? Where are you buying this WS6 in Chicago at? Just curious...

As for problems with the '02's, nothing that I know of as long as the car was well taken care of and runs strong...I bought my '02 brand-new three summers ago and have not had any problems with it knock on wood (of course, I've only put 4,300 miles on it). But just check the usual...Tires, brakes, rotors, air filter, fuel filter, oil pressure, trans fluid, rear-end fluid, coolant, etc...Again, if the car drives great and shows no signs of any problems, then get it! But an AUTO??? j/k man!

BTW, nice choice on the LS1 (regardless of trans),

Mike

the 4L60 trans suck in general,so that'd prolli be the first thing to go so long as you take care of everythings. And that'd be if you beat on it.for an M6 its usually the pushrods/springs.

thanks the one i am looking at was purchased brand new from the dealership..driven for 1 year (put on 41K)(1 owner)..then has been sitting in the garage for the past 2years. Any things wrong with a 41K car sitting for 2 years and not driven? any things to check for?

Take a good listen for piston slap...wait that's normal! Seriously, if there is some and it goes away in 30-60 seconds i'd say maybe, but that's how mine started and it has gotten much worse since I bought the car new with 4mi on it, actually it didn't start with the PS untill about 800mi, but now it's there a little all the time even when it's at full temp and when I re-start it with a hot motor it clacks like crazy for 60 seconds then mellows out to it's usuall light tapping.I have a bad case, so I'm not trying to scare you, i'm just giving you some advice about what might be a problem in the long run if the PS is bad ebough.

Thumbs up Re: buying a 02 WS6..little help

01-02 got the LS6 intake, and around 15-20% of the 01-02 cars got the LS6 block. 01 and 02 are the years to get

Notorious problems are the warped rotors, and power window motors..

lol, since when does the 4l60 suck? even the stock trans takes decent abuse, and you can redo the trans to make it practically bullet proof
